While the visual arts have pre occupied much of his time, Tindall has written and directed countless film and video scripts over the past twenty years. Many of these have been for corporate documentary films he has produced through his Film and Video Production House.
Tindall has throughout his career had a deep fascination with words and letters, becoming more interested in the way they are formed and they way they ‘look’ as visual forms and abstract marks.
This interest is seen in most paintings where a delicate balance of image and text create the finished work. The written word is often taken ‘beyond’ the utilitarian use of language to merge into a phantom ethereal world where the visual shapes of letters become a deeper language in their own right.
Recently a television documentary ‘The Eighth Summit’ produced by Anne Tindall and written and directed by Wayne Tindall was aired on SBS Television receiving favourable reviews.
His first novel ‘The Great Divide’ published by Minerva Press in 2000, has now been developed into a feature movie script by the artist.
