Photography or “painting with light” has always held a keen interest for Wayne with most of the visual work incorporating photographic elements.

For most of his career, McCarthy-Tindall has been more interested in inanimate objects, landscape features or close ups of natural objects, however recent trips to Timor-Leste have opened up new horizons as the faces of the indomitable Timorese have gotten under his skin.

“These people have done something to me. I’m actually becoming mildly interested in other human beings. This is quite novel for me!”
